Classic Ceviche
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. fresh fish cut into 1/2″ pieces
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1 C chopped seeded tomatoes
- 1 serrano chili pepper seeded, finely diced
- 2 t salt
- dash oregano
- pinch cayenne
- 1/2 C lemon juice
- 1/2 C lemon juice
- 1/2 C lime juice
- serving options: cilantro, avocado and tortilla chips
Instructions
Step 1
Combine all in a bowl, except juices. mix well. cover with juices. Let sit covered in fridge for 1 hour.
Step 2
Stir and let sit several hours until chilled through. The longer you leave, the better the flavors will mix.
Step 3
optional: top with cilantro and avocado and serve with chips
