Good evening folks! Welcome to this week’s episode of the Northeast Florida Fishing Report. I’m captain Ricky Poupore with SeaCo fishing charters. This is the week of August 11th. It’s pretty much the same as last week plenty of bait everywhere. Tarpon rolling in some of the pogy pods south of the inlet; very few to the north. But a lot of big fish caught on the beach this week. Last Saturday we had the king of the beach tournament out of Saint Augustine there were lots and lots of fish over 30 pounds and that’s within four miles of the beach. So, really good fishing on the beach this week. I noticed Tuesday it seemed to taper off quite a bit. There was just a few fish caught however, we did catch a 35 pounder.
Looks like we got some north winds coming; maybe that’ll fire the mullet run off and we’re expecting to see some good fishing like maybe sunday.. monday-ish so stay tuned.
