Northeast Florida Fishing Report for Week of August 3, 2022

Aug 4, 2022 | Fishing Reports

Welcome to this week’s episode of Northeast Florida Fishing Report. This is the week of August 3rd. This week we had beautiful weather all week and the kingfish moved in on the beach so there’s a lot to talk about there. Bait was spread out to the north. I know there was some bait to the south too I heard there were some tarpon down there in the pogie pods but uh bait’s pretty well everywhere. We caught it on the north bar mostly this week it was just spread out. You had to time it just right and and wait on the drift and drift over the baits and just wait till you had the opportunity to throw instead of wasting your throws. All the near shore wrecks had some fish on it this week. I mean it wasn’t great, but there were some there. The kingfish definitely moved in on the beach. I heard very few tarpon reports but I know there were some seen. I don’t know about any caught… actually there were three or four caught up to the north this week for sure but, yeah, the big thing was the kingfish on the beach. We fished them all up and down the coastline around the st augustine inlet, mostly to the north and I know there was a lot of big fish caught on the beach this week at least one 40 pound fish one around 46 pounds. Anyways multiple big fish caught on the beach this week
